We need reliable people to help with the daily operation of our adoption center at Trent and Argonne in Spokane Valley, as well as cleaning and adoption events at the valley PetsMart.  Of course, caring for so many animals in one or two locations requires cleaning, feeding and watering, but our volunteers also give the kind of love and compassion many of these animals have missed in their lives.

 There are a variety of ways you can help.  As a non-profit organization we rely on support from the community to help us reach our goals.  Volunteers with experience in fundraising, project management, publicity or media relations, and education are all needed for many of our current plans.

So many of the pets we rescue have come from uncertain and unsafe environments.  Many of them have been picked up as strays or abandoned by their owners.  Regardless of their previous lives, their transformation into our program is a change that can sometimes be traumatic.

Your willingness to spend time with a cat or dog, giving nothing more than a caress and a reassuring voice, can help that animal start to trust people again.  That trust and comfort around people is an integral part of helping the pet find a new, loving home.  Can you believe something so simple can mean so much?  For the pets in our program it can mean everything!
